Easter for most people is time of school, work, etc.....eating chocs, hot cross buns , drinking etc
I dread any holiday now, as we stay indoor, waiting for everyone to go back to school or work....LOL
I have an Eastertime Memory. My mom was Polish (born here, though) Our Catholic Church had mostly Polish members. Our neighborhood was mostly Polish and Italian. Anyway, On the Day before Easter there was the traditional Blessing of the Food. You would bring a basket representing everything you would be eating for Easter dinner....a piece of ham (or whatever meat), a representative of each item for dinner. Then the Priest would bless the offering.
