Excitement..........

You fit in just fine. I joined in my late 50’s and will soon be 60. Nice to have you here.

I went to school in England when I was 4 but had to wait until I was 5 to go to kindergarten. The first thing I was excited about was in 1965 when we flew to Canada. We didn’t get our own house immediately but in a few months we did and I had my own room. Before I shared a room with my two brothers and slept on a cot. My own room was awesome. I was excited
Kids here go to kindergarten from 2 till 5 then start infant/primary school at 5 years old 'till 11... I started infant school in '61

The first time I got on a plane. I was 9. My mom took me all over Europe to meet her weird relatives.
At 16, I got my driver's license & a car. I thought: "This makes it really easy to get away from my family."

I started my first sailing lessons from my dad at around 13.
A while later, I finally got to take out a 14ft. 'Hobie Cat' sailboat alone.

Nice trade winds on the south side of Oahu, Hawaii and I will never forget being in control and 'Flying the Hull'.
Pretty sure I yelled and yelled from the sheer joy of harnessing the Wind.

This is what I mean by 'flying the hull' on a Hobie Cat (not me in the picture).

Probably as an adult. Going to my very first baseball game at old Yankee Stadium. Also, stepping off the plane at Heathrow and onto British soil, the first of three visits to London.
