Expect another hike in beef prices.

Not sure the prices will head up over this, as there is evidence the consumer is shifting away from beef... to cheaper meats. The evidence being the May CPI suggested it and the Retail Report from this morning seems to indicate grocery spending habits are shifting. Only time will tell, in my opinion
 

While I was having a cheeseburger last night I deliberately thought of a sweet cow saying Moo. It didn't work, I ate without guilt, which surprised me. I thought I would at least have felt a tad guilty.
 
The likelihood of a very hot Summer coming is going to stress quite a few herds of cattle. We have several cattle farms in our area, and the cattle are already gathering in shady spots and around the ponds. The chicken/turkey farms have already been impacted by the Avian Flu, so I doubt we will see any decline in meat prices anytime soon.
