David777, I agree that certainty is not required in belief. But I do require a quantity of credible evidence to come to a belief. Otherwise, I am comfortable with uncertainty, and I handle that fine. I do believe that the question of a god is of ultimate importance, although many of my atheist friends flatly disagree, a disagreement that I still ponder off and on. While I believe the existence of god question to be important, I believe an eventual answer will never be known, I don't lose sleep over it. It's not a refusal to believe. It's just that belief without evidence is above my pay grade.
