Fantastic explanation from my Favourite Internet Doctor... fortunately I don't take calcium supplements.. but I do take Vit D3 with K2..

I do too. I stopped taking calcium but stuck with the D and K2.
What brand K 2 do you use?
I don't take D as much in the summer.

Bonjour chere Madame: Sorry, but I cant stand any videos, never watch....

So, can you please post a web page, paper powerpoint, PDF or other form of info on these interesting topics?

Mille Mercies,

Jon

I take a combined Vit D3 & K2... it's organic, but I can't remember which brand because I dispense them into a big pill box when I get them..

Ok asking because its expensive for Natures Own brand but am not sure what I'm getting on Amazon.
I heard Cosco sells some but no Cosco here.
Thanks for the video. I hate having to follow a link. 🙂

Bonjour Jon... ..sorry I can't find any webpage for this specific Youtube video by this Cardiologist... I'm sure there must be one if I dug deeper.. but this Cardiologist is really worth watching ..or reading if you can find his paper on it..

I do buy Vitamins from Costco.. but that's Usually Vit B12 multi vits.. I don't think I buy the VitD K2.. from there I think I probably get them from the health food store..or possibly amazon...

Please everyone don't be put off by this chat ...take time to watch this Cardiologist if you're taking Calcium supplements
lol..looking at your shocked face @hearlady .. what I meant was that people shouldn't concentrate on the chat about the vitamins so that they don't look at the Video.. because it's very important to watch it in it's entirety

Yes, sure. 😊 I did watch it and it prompted me to ask questions and maybe have a conversation about it. It's as much about K 2 as calcium.

I can't waste time on these theories. If your body needs to absorb calcium to help keep strong bones, then for decades we have been assured this will help. As we age, our bones don't absorb calcium, thus brittle bones, broken bones.
How about this? Break your hip, back, shoulder, ankle....stay laid up in a bed for weeks, and the quality of your life begins with weakened muscles, immobility, not being steady with you walk......

So, no clogged arteries, but will that suffice to maintain an agile life? Nope.
Stick with whatever your own doctor prescribes for YOU.

I'm taking it to my cardiologist, unfortunately I have no instinct on this, but I do have the problems mentioned in the piece.
Pepper.. this Cardiologist Bio...

take absolutely no notice of anyone who is trying to stop you from learning more about how supplements can affect your body.. they clearly would prefer you suffer and possibly die.. than have you aware of the dangers..

do what your instincts tell you to do pepper....if you look all through the calcuim videos , you will find different stories...

Very good video especially comments on fat. We need healthy fats & the low fat campaign has been detrimental in my opinion. D3 & K2 are very important but in order for D3 to work it needs magnesium, something most people are deficient in. Magnesium is difficult to absorb and most supplements are junk. I supplement D3 and eat sauerkraut & kimchi for K2. I make my own mineral water for magnesium.

Most cardiologist are not going say much about any of this.

I've been fermenting cabbage and get kimchi from my neighbor. I know a good source is natto, fermented soy, and so if I buy k2 I make sure it's source is natto and it also says MK 7.
I've been taking k2 for more than 10 years. I used to take it with calcium but recently stoped calcium and take it with D. I dont take this everyday and don't take D if I'm outside a lot in summer. I do take magnesium every day.
Do you know if fermented sourdough would be a source? I make that. I would love to not have to supplement at all.

I've been taking this for a couple of decades now, since my FIL suffered a major stroke which paralyzed him and made him bedridden in his old age. His carotid artery was around 99% blocked with calcification. I have not been using any calcium supplements either, I get enough calcium through my diet. He was taking oyster shell calcium on a daily basis and had a lot of calcium in his diet. RIP

Thanks, SeaBreeze. That is one of the brands I've purchased in the past.
Sorry about FIL!
BTW when I did take calcium it had D in it not that it matters now.
The thinking 10 years ago was you took the k2 with the calcium to deliver the calcium to the right places and not in your tissues, arteries.
I'm sure I get enough calcium in my diet now too.
