Not much for black. First thing to go in my previous house was the doors.

First house we ever bought, we painted charcoal
Two reasons;
Cheap paint
The place needed paint.....any

Pretty freaking ugly

One of the last houses we refurbed was whte
Pretty much hate white exterior
After some siding repairs, we decided on green

White and deep red trim with some black here and there

Black, when applied in the right places, can make a place pop

I think a house painted black would have to have some other accent color(s) to make it pop. @Pinky posted a good example (reply #3).
@AnnieA the one you posted in reply #2 looks kind of spooky.
@Alizerine If that's your cat, she (he?) looks like my Deja's twin! Nice desk too.

Those doors look like they belong in a different home unless other interior features are also black.

I like black accents inside a house, and find black trim on white houses are sharp (in a good way). My parents fully embraced what's now known as mid-century modern, as have I - and now my children. Clean lines and a minimum of knickknacks.
