Eyebrows!

I think that's part of it Falcon, especially men with bushy eyebrows will get some protection from debris falling from above. I heard that part of their function was to protect the eyes from our salty sweat. If I'm doing any heavy exercise or work I still need to use a sweat band to control my drips. I think my eyebrows aren't thick enough to help, maybe I need to fertilize them for denser growth. :p :chores:

How about John L. Lewis, Coal Miners Union leader?

Years ago, I saw a Broadway musical with Debbie Reynolds in it. After the play, we had file pass her to say "hi". I never met a movie star before. When I got face to face with her, it kind of stunned me. It looked like her eyebrows were tattooed on, and they were way up on her forehead. And her face had little squares all over them. I thought they were from plastic surgery, but what do I know. My date noticed the same thing.

The sweat thing sounds plausable.

I think it has to do with sweat also. I use to have thick eyebrows in my teens and plucked the heck out of them to give me more of an arch. After the kids, and working the last thing I had on my mind were my eyebrows. As the years passed they thinned out and now I have next to none. My glasses cover it anyway.
