Facebook Wrongly Suspend Users!

What a situation, Facebook Banned a user for writing
about Plymouth Hoe, they said that it was a name for
a Prostitute, last week they Banned another for talking
about the Devil's Dyke, they said that it was a name for
a Lesbian.

Somebody will have to educate their system to accept
place names as being OK, as there are many strange and
near obscene names over here.

Too "religious" apparently. I mean, it's awful but we couldn't stop laughing about it. It's just so ridiculous.
i have seen many examples like this ..... has no basis in reality at all ....... I know many will say it is OK for a business to censor content........... except they cannot spell out the rules ........the goal posts change with the wind and they bend themselves into a pretzel trying to defend some idiotic move like this........or blame on computer but a computer will only flag what was entered to be flagged

i have not been censored but found they slow loaded my content if i commented on anything they were not thrilled with.... one comment and my account moved so slow it was like being shut down ...... person in same room had their content just fine not the device either.

MY laughs are when they deem something Partially false except they can not tell you what part........:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

This wasn't on Facebook but on Yahoo news. Please tell me if you think this is abhorrent.

Yahoo told me they refused to print my comment because it was offensive!
Who is she? Who were you talking about?

does it matter....... Is it OK to block a comment based on some people may or may not like a specific person.......
that to me would imply a double standard and hypocrisy on the part of the place that wants to censor others

I am deeply offended. Don't ask me why, because I don't have a clue. However, I am sure that somewhere among the political correctness rule books, I could find a reason, given enough time and beer. o_O

I once had to type Richard Cheney because the site I was on prohibited the first name he was commonly known by.

Many years ago I belonged to a Poetry forum that was monitoring posts. It was purely an algorithm but yeah it was looking for words someone had entered as a no-go zone. There wasn't anybody actually checking 24/7, but a moderator would appear to explain the process if there were complaints. And there were, often, when words were just dropped out of a poem, upsetting the metre, all because of one little swear word, like 'bloody'. In an Aussie Bush Poetry site that one cropped up pretty often. LOL

Those were the kind of words the algorithm was looking for, but occasionally there was a glitch. There was one that stumped everyone for a while but we finally worked out what the word was. 'Flicked' The algorithm was reading it as something else altogether. LOL

Now it will be interesting to see if any of the words in this post trigger the 'virtual' censor. ;)
