Facing Death as we live past 90.

Hundreds of years ago many died very young. Not as many now but still a lot pass early. I guess bless and count up the ones a day.
I'm pretty sure Self Drivers will commit your suicide for you too.

The point was
Were all going to die. Living to 90 or beyond is fantastic.
Self driving vehicles are in the process of generating stats. I've been in traffic here with those. So far they performed as good if not better in traffic here considering a lot of cross streets with a 45mph. speed limit is ignored in favor of 60mph.

I believe the 18 wheelers self drivers will choose the lesser path of killing
when in a conundrum, maybe killing ones who aren't in those lanes.

Not even actually going to be involved in those rear enders.

I am not interested in violent death. Just think about the pain you need to go through in the final few minutes of your life with the violent acts. It may go wrong in many ways. What if you don't die by the self driving car or other violent acts (eg, hanging, jumping, guns etc), but as a result, you become paralyzed or brain dead with a lot of pain?

If you do develop a long, agonizing illness and live in certain 11 states in the USA, you can get Medical Aid In Dying (MAID). Canada and Mexico also offers this benefit. Oregon is the most popular American state which offers this. Switzerland and Belgium also offer this benefit. However, you must establish a 3 month residency in the 11 US states and Canada to get this benefit.

I believe the drug used is Nembutal and is administered using an IV. The patient is required to open the valve.

In my US state of Connecticut, Living Wills are legal. If executed they must be filed with the geriatric center of the nearest hospital and with one's primary doctor. They allow one to refuse all medication which includes food and water. Death results in 2 to 3 weeks. My Geriatrician told me, if I go down this path, he would visit me every day until I finally expire. The geriatric center sends a Nurse Practitioner or a Medical Doctor to visit me every 2 months now to try and detect if my dying process has begun yet.

I was already in the care of Vitas Hospice in my home for 3 weeks back in October, 2018. They sent a Nurse Practitioner or a Medical Doctor to see me every day then. I did not have to pay anything for those services. Medicare paid $ 1,500 to the hospice every week. However, if one lives through that, apparently Vitas Hospice purges all the records. I had called them recently to get a copy of my records and they had none.

A high percentage of the very old simply expire in their sleep. I am hoping that is how I will finally go. I am 90 years old.

Only 1 out of 5 men and 1 out of 3 women live to 90. By age 95 only 1 out of 200 men are still alive. Only 1 out of 8,000 men are still alive at age 100. Thus, I am convinced I will die a natural death in the next 2 years. Hopefully, it will be in a good dream as I sleep during the night. Preferably, it will be a dream with a sex act.
