I remember coming on a go-fund-me type post some years ago where a person claiming to have dissociative identity disorder (formerly called multiple personality disorder) was trying to raise money to "take the children who were her multiple personalities to Disneyland", because they really, really, really wanted to go. Yeah, really.
And then there's the admittedly-lesser problem of "vague-posting". I know someone who does that frequently on Facebook. Vague-posting is posting something like "Oh, well, I hope tomorrow is better" or "Well, today was terrible" or "Praying that God is kinder to me tomorrow", etc. and leaving it at that. That's followed by many of their friends posting, "What's wrong?", "What happened?", "Are you OK?" The person then usually posts, "Oh, it's OK, I don't want to worry anyone....." or the like. Which, of course, engenders another round of questions. The explanation usually is something like, "Well, I was feeling a little low today...." I don't bite that lure but a lot of others do.
