I have a million clocks. And I have this peccadillo. They have to all be set at the same exact time. I don't know why, but it just has to be that way. It's an odd thing for me, because I'm one of those people who are always late- only less than five minutes minutes late, but late. I can leave the house at 8 AM for an 11 AM meeting, and I won't get there till 11:04. It's a talent.
BTW, I change the batteries in my fire alarms, clocks, etc
Thanks, Ken N Tex for reminding me.

We changed the clocks about 8 pm last night. Pushed myself to stay up until 10:30. Bedtime would normally be 11. Awake at 5.

I absolutely hate it being lighter earlier. My walks are in the late afternoon. The sun is setting into my eyes and soon it’ll actually be dark. Just plain ordinary depressing.

BTW, I change the batteries in my fire alarms, clocks, etc
Done. DH puts it on his work schedule.

You sound just like me, Fuzzy! LOL!

I hate switching the clocks back
This morning I first woke up at 5,though my body thought it was my usual time of 6.I managed to go back to sleep for 45 min

My own solution to jet lag when I was travelling a lot for work was to force myself to stay up until a reasonable local sleep time. The first day, I would be tired, but quickly I got in sync with the local time and was fine. It may well be that as we get older, such adjustment may be more difficult, though I suppose that depends on the individual. Since I am retired, it doesn't really matter when I get up unless I have an appointment or am working a contract, but I still try to hold to a regular sleep schedule. I still do the same thing I did to adjust to jet lag and it still seems to work for me.

Jules, I wholeheartedly agree with you about the time change. I think the fact that it gets dark so much earlier is depressing, too.

I have to go into the file drawer and get the directions to reset my digital watch each time.
The computer resets itself.

I refuse to change the battery on my smoke alarm unless I have to. I test it instead. If it's close to 9 volts why should I throw it away?
