A Texas grandmother is recovering after a carjacking left her badly bruised with no vehicle after the suspect fatally crashed on an interstate.

According to San Antonio police, the incident began around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, when Shirlene Hernandez, 72, stopped at a Shell station in San Antonio on her way to work.

There are so many Go Fund Me pages these days. Some are for a legitimately good cause, some not. I'm glad they've raised 5K for her so far in only a week. I suspect they'll get even more. At 72, hopefully she's still working because she wants to not because she has to.
