Farmers' Almanac

Years ago, people in the US and Canada would put a lot of stock into the Farmers' Almanac.
Is it relevant anymore? Is there a version of this in Australia, NZ, etc., and in the UK?
Wondering what your thoughts are on it. They are still giving out information like they always did.

For some strange reason I was a rabid Farmer's Almanac fan as a kid - I couldn't wait until the new edition came out. I haven't even looked at one in over 40 years, so thank you Bonnie for posting this - I'm gonna' go have a look-see.

Not to change the subject but does anyone remember the weekly paper "Grit" back in the fifties? I remember selling it along with Pages Seeds for prizes. Always had the Almanac in the house too.

Remember the Weekly Reader? We always looked forward to the next edition in school.

Yes, the weekly reader was very popular in school. I'll have to google grit as I don't remember much about it.
