Farmer's Market

Our village library had had a farmer's market this summer. The library is on the main street and they have a small parking lot in which they let the vendors set up their booths. Being on the main street where there is no good parking available and using the parking lot for the market, there really isn't any place for customer parking. I suggested to the library staff that next year, if they have a market, they might use the American Legion Field, which had a nice big grassy lot, to set up and plenty of off-road parking space. I was told that when the Legion sponsors the market, they it can be there.

All I can do is make a suggestion. The library is located in a building that was once a church, hence the steeple.

IMO, if you are going to have a Farmers Market, you should plan on having ample parking. People enjoy going to a Farmers Market, at least they do in my area. We have a very large market run by the Amish that is held every Tuesday. The place, which consists of multiple buildings, plus outside vendors during nice weather, is always swamped with folks and I have even noticed several out of state license plates.

If the village/local authorities are ok with it I wouldn't worry about it and if I thought it was dangerous I would stay home.
