Every now and then the tabloids or non-mainstream newspapers look to boost their circulation a bit by running a sensational story drawn from teratogenic animal specimens. Sideshows in traveling carnivals used to do the same thing with pickled abnormal animal fetuses in jars. So I submit for your approval a fetal shark with a “human face” found off the coast of Indonesia, although to me it looks like a comical sperm cell or KKK member reject. Every day should have a little Halloween in it, don’t ‘ya think? 🙀

You're absolutely right sideshows also hired living people with unusual forms. Cojoined twins, or cases where either the cells didn't properly divide or one only partially reabsorbed the other so they had extra limbs. The 'Mule faced Lady, who was missing lower jaw bone so the flesh and skin below nose just hung down and elongated a bit over course of her life. People with webbed fingers and toes or missing limbs.
