Police have arrested a second person as part of an investigation into London’s first murder of 2022 - the fatal stabbing of a man in a busy west London street.
Dariusz Wolosz, 46, was attacked in High Street, Yiewsley, near West Drayton before his killers fled on foot on Tuesday.
It was the suburb’s second murder in five days. Ionut Elvis Tacu, 16, died from a knife wound close to Heather Lane on December 31.

A 27-year-old man was detained on suspicion of Mr Wolosz’s murder on Friday.
A boy aged 13 arrested for the same offence a day earlier has been released on bail to a date in early February.

Mr Wolosz, who was Polish, was attacked near his home by a group of males following a row on Tavistock Road, the Metropolitan Police said.

Officers were called by paramedics to reports of an injured man at 12.12am.
The victim was pronounced dead at 12.43am.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the groin and chest.
Mr Wolosz’s family are said to be “distraught”.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact them and said dash cam footage from passing cars may have captured the incident.

That's because you don't have guns. If people are going to kill each other they will find a way to do it.
well semi true.. illegal guns are available and quite easily sourced, albeit not legally in the UK and are used in some generally less salubrious parts of the Uk... knives seem to be the weapon of choice among the young teens in London.. in the North of England we hear much more about the use of guns rather than knives.. . The city itself is fine generally speaking, tourists needn't be concerned , but the suburbs of London and many other cities in the Uk have a big problem on their hands...

There were two on the 30th December 2021, a 15 year old
and a 16 year old, who was killed a half mile from where I
live, these young people killing each other happen regularly.

Terrible.

Mike.
I lived close by when I was a teenager and have so many happy memories, it is hard to imagine 15 and 16 year olds killing each other but this is what the world is coming to. I am saddened for the youth of today not only do they have to navigate the trials and tribulations of growing up but also dealing with covid. So many issues to be addressed, but I am afraid that there will not be enough people to help them.

Over the weekend there was a lot of football played, knockout
matches, for the F.A. Cup, (Football Association), one London
team, Arsenal F.C., who normally play in read, have teamed up
with Idris Elba, actor, to try and stop children killing each other
with knives.

"No More Red", is the Name/Slogan of the project, which aims
to stop the red blood from getting on the streets, anyway, Arsenal
played in all white, Boots, Socks, Pants and Shirt, these kits will be
donated, for auction, to charities who help the bereaved families
of victims, a worthy cause, I believe.

Arsenal got knocked out by a lower level team yesterday.

Mike.
