Fatal Crashes at Air Shows, Have You Been to A Show, Ever Had Something Bad Happen?

I LOVE to watch the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels. The only thing bad that ever happened at an airshow I attended (back in about 1970) was that I got WAY too hot standing out in the New Mexico sun on the tarmac and fainted dead away. SOO, the only angels I got to see that day were the ones in the ER.

I've been to many, for most of my working life I was actually part of one each year Sept 15, Battle of Britain Day.

Never saw anything untoward. That's what makes the latest UK knee jerk reaction so silly. I suspect the hand of Cameron. Since a disaster at Farnborough in 1952 they have been inherently safe, in the UK anyway.

Butterfly, that's terrible, glad you were okay after that, I can't take the heat much either, but luckily I'm not a fainter, just may have to sit down and get a bit dizzy. Laurie, very cool that you participated in one, and I'm glad that there were no problems in the shows you went to. From the wikipedia link, seems like there's a lot of them, maybe not so much considering how many air shows go on without a bad event.
