Favorite Comfort Foods That Bring Back Memories?

I like those little individual pecan pies sold in cardboard boxes at Walmart, and bought several yesterday. For years, the price was $.50 each, then $.84, now $.92. Still not a bad price.

I stopped eating meat 12 years ago, but have adapted many favorite recipes with tofu as a sub for meat.

Tofu divan is just as tasty as chicken divan. Eating it brings me back to when my mom made it.

Mine might sound yucky but I loved my mom's liver and onions smothered with gravy with mashed potatoes on the side. I haven't met anyone yet or any restaurant that can fix it like my mom's. I loved my mom's bread pudding. I haven't tasted any as good as hers either.

I love liver & Onions with bacon....with gravy and mashed potato...yum! I like Lambs or Calfs liver best...

I don't like bread pudding but both those things are very british..was your mum a Brit?
