Well you’ve done a lot for someone gardening on rock. Great to have the beach so close and a reserve on the other side. Good for you to be so active still. I’ll bet it helps a lot. We met dancing and were going to the gym 3-4 days a week until the pandemic started. Now we just walk and stationary bike a dumbbells. Not as good.

My Hubs spent many hours on a huge jackhammer digging holes in rocks for me to plant my fruit trees

Plums do well here but not hot enough for peaches and possibly not cold enough. Things that thrive in extreme temperatures don’t do well in our mild climate.
 

During Covid lockdowns people were struggling to get fruit or many salad type veggies and we had enough in our little garden …or preserved/ stewed / dried fruits / frozen/ fresh veggies out of garden
so we was very happy we decided to plant fruit trees in what little room we have …….

The peach ( pictured was pruned with a chainsaw last winter ) it was cut back to 6 foot high so we didn’t have to climb a ladder to reach fruit …..look at the tree now ..it will get a even harder cut back in June ( our winter )

This is what the peach tree looked like after it was pruned last June @MarkD ..the black ends are a special fruit tree paint to stop them getting infections In the limbs

Looks like a Japanese Maple leaf, but they're usually red here.
 
I took this one of the monstera this morning before driving Lia to an appointment in San Francisco.

I keep trying to get a photo that makes it look as good as it does to my naked eye. Our eyes are so good at doing what cameras struggle to manage.

Edited to add that Facebook reminded me that today was her birthday. I was happy to see posts by others who loved her and photos they had taken.

Note to self: make sure to get wonderful plants into the hands of younger garden makers.

The variegated monstera I had and sold a few months ago , I was offered $450 for it and it was getting to big for the area m so I sold it .
It was called Thai consultation monstera ..the larger leaves were 65x 65 cm across…the local garden centre bought it ..so I’m not sure what he got for it

I had a Albo as well more white than green and a garden centre bought that one (not the same GC that bought the one in photo ) he gave $500 cause he wanted to take cuttings off it ..I' must have deleted photo of the albo cause I can’t find it

Visited the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek with Lia yesterday. Really admired the foliage on this agave.
