Favorite Soups and Stews?

My favourite is lamb neck stew.

A whole lamb neck, cut into rings about a half inch wide, then add some of every vegetable I have in the house, along with some chicken or beef stock. Put in some lentils, soy beans, and allow to simmer until the meat falls off the bones.

Always seems to taste really good, even better the next day.

Any excess is stored in the freezer.

Friendly's has a great clam chowder canned or not. One of my best soup memories beside the beef noodle my Mom used to make with Sunday leftovers was onion soup. Some restaurants used to serve onion soup in a high bowl. They'd put a round of toast into the broth and then melt cheese over the whole thing. Mmmm makes me hungry remembering it.
