What was your favourite childhood movie? What did you love about it?Mine was the Batman one with Adam West.I still chuckle at Batman running along the beach with a bomb helpfully labelled 'BOMB'.

This was the first movie that I ever saw in a movie palace.

It was part of a Christmas double feature with Babes in Toyland in the early 60s.

The whole experience of the movie and theatre made a big impression on a little country bumpkin.

Watched it alone, late night movie, just before the fading white dot

Big sandwich, on the rug in the middle of the living room

I was around 8 or 10

Dorothy Lamour was Ulah

After seeing that movie, for several months after, I’d hike the woods, hoping for a chance meet up with Ulah

Hey, I was a leg man, early on

I blame it on the Jackie Gleason show dancers

Think I’ll go hiking today

Never know

One movie I remember enjoying when I was young was "Miracle on 34th St." I just remember Natalie Wood being a little girl it . I don't think I saw it in the movie theater so it must have been on TV when I saw it.

Ah,yes....'Postman's Knock' [1962]
It was a comedy about a man who went to work in the post office mail sorting room, but was so fast at sorting the letters he actually beat the machine.
He was SO good at sorting mail,he got accused of plotting a robbery. Doesn't sound funny-but it was/is. Starring Spike Milligan & Barbara Shelley.

My other equally favourite film of yesteryear was 'The Early Bird'. A comedy about a hapless milkman, who had to fight off competition. Starring Norman Wisdom
