Favourite flower

Which is your favourite flower, for looks and fragrance ? Mine is the Calla Lily, I buy them every year for a special anniversary and they perfume the entire place

I have a few African Violets on the window sill. Like them as they are so small you can fit them into any little nook or cranny.

Hydrangeas, I have two in my front yard , one in my side yard n one in my back garden. I’m very lucky, when they did the landscaping for the condos they planted them everywhere.

I adore flowers! I love so many, it's not possible to just choose one.
Peonies, lilacs, hydrangea, roses, all lilies, tulips, iris.....

I'm partial to the fast-growing Amaryllis in the dark dreary winter months.

Cleome, what we called spider flowers. They grew wild where I lived as a kid. They don't grow wild in my area now but I plant them each year from seed as an annual..
They remind me of my childhood.

Gardenias. Intoxicating aroma.

Roses. My grandmother raised roses and everything she had was rose-scented. One whiff of a rose and there's my beloved Grandma, back from the dead.

Carnations. Proms and weddings come to mind.

Lilacs. There's nothing more beautiful than a Lilac bush (tree?) bursting with color.

Peonies for appearance. They look so lovely in arrangements.
My former-MIL in Oz had a Jasmine tree that was intoxicating. I love the smell of lilac bushes too.

A Golden rose.......... For our Golden Retriever nicky , when she died 17yrs ago,
we ve planted a Golden rose bush in all our homes since then ......17 yrs ago.....

Texas Blue Bonnets, remember when LBJ was president, Lady Bird begin
campaign to rid nation of large road sign, replacing them with flowers.
Her husband being president didn't hurt.

She pushed Blue Bonnet seeding's on highways in Texas, still with us today.
Their blooming time is short, but they will always induce that 'ache' for home.

Those are Irises, I had purple ones when I lived in MA a long time ago, there lovely.
