I really am getting absolutely sick and tired of people moaning about the prices of things.

£2.50 for a tea. £3.50 for a coffee. £4 for a slice of cake. £5 for parking.

If I hear one more complaint I really will stop inviting my friends over! 🤪🤣

Food is actually one of the more affordable things we have. Even going out - I remember way back in the 80’s when a nice dinner for two might go $50. Today, it is closer to $100. But wages have more than doubled.

Now housing, there is another story! Especially in places like California.

Count your blessings Holly. A boy and his grandmother were having a chat about the rising prices of commodities.
“When I was a kid, you could go to the grocery with a pound and come home with enough food to feed your family for a week!” Grandma laments.
“Well, Grandma,” the youngster responds, “we recently learned about that at school, it's called inflation.”
“Not inflation!” exclaimed the granny. “It’s all those damned security cameras they have today!”

I have my grandmother's 1965 home insurance policy. She paid $95 for 5 years of coverage.
