In a drastic move signaling California's looming drought crisis, federal water managers announced Wednesday they're cutting water allocations to farms and cities again.
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, which supplies water in California through the Central Valley Project, said it expects to cut its delivery to the urban areas it serves by more than half, allocating 25% of the contracted amount rather than the 55% that was announced earlier.

My Brother lives in the suburbs of Los Angeles. For the past 4 years wild fires have come very close to where he lives. More drought is going to make it worse. Drought, fires, and water depletion are a bad omen for that State.

The weather forecasts are calling for another year of drought in California, and the entire SW. The Rockies and the Sierra's have, once again, received minimal snowfall this past Winter, and there will be far less "runoff" to replenish the rivers and reservoirs. With fire season approaching, this year may see another round of major fires.
