We have the orphan bear cubs of Gatlinburg to thank for weaning my niece from her bottle 33 years ago. She was absolutely NOT going to give up the bottles. Subject closed. We went up to Ober Gatlinburg and saw the orphan bear cubs being fed by bottle. It was suggested that she "donate" her bottles to the cubs. We came up the next day and with the assistance of a ranger, who made a big deal of how much the bear cubs would love to have her bottles and even announced the "donation", the deed was done. There were some tears for a few days, but constant reminders of how much those cubs appreciated her bottles did the trick.
