Felt like you were in a movie

Passing through Texas in 1971. Living in New York City for years, I felt that way when I saw on TV and heard about the Twin Towers collapsing. When I heard that President Kennedy (still my favorite President) was assassinated. The same can be said when both Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King were shot and killed. Also when John Lennon was shot and killed.

I guess I have seen too many bad movies in my lifetime. 😥

dURING THE CUBAN MISSLE CRISIS, WHEN I WAS GIVEN
SPECIAL ORDERS TO GO TO KEY WEST TO MONITOR RADIO
TRAFFIC INTO/OUT OF CUBA....I WAS THINKING " THIS IS REAL,
THIS COULD GET BAD,BAD IF SOMEONE WANTS TO PLAY CRAZY....THANKSFULLY THE WORST DID NOT HAPPEN.
You must have been on edge having that responsibility to be alert to. Most people think of hand to hand fighting when they think of military service. Thank you for giving us an example of those behind the scenes that usually are not thought of. (y) Thank you for your service and love of our country hawk.

When I was younger I very often thought my life was like a movie/musical. Not so much anymore, and I miss it. But I still feel as someone else says like I'm an observer of my life. Not in a bad way, just what it is.

When walking down a street in Portland, Oregon and a car went speeding by followed by another speeding car. They were turning down another street both with screeching tires. It felt like a scene in a movie. I wondered if it was a movie and my husband and I were in one.
