Fill in the Blank - 'The Greatest Danger to Our Future' ... is???

The greatest danger to our future is thinking that God is NOT in CHARGE.
Like we all have a say at the council and God needs our advise.
We are the creation not the creator.
None of us can right the wrongs. None of us can make things right.
All of us can trust that God has a purpose for what he allows even though it makes no sense to us.
As his word says "trust in the Lord with all your might and lean not on your own understanding" (proverbs 3-5).

I site here thinking about my life and realize that for all my efforts God has directed me. No huge bank account no Norman Rockwell Holiday gatherings but I have been blessed. I can find peace in that.

Well as a senior, possible every day I wake up but not not likely. Cold War death axe has been over us all our lives. Future generations are the one more likely looking at possible dystopian worlds.

But sorry folks, a question asking for the greatest direct threats to future human species existence is a short list of obvious things that actually have a capacity to do so. Amusing psychology reality that so many here could not face stating such. Until the mid Twentieth Century even man's wars with explosives did not have that potential. We are the first generations of humans with the capacity to exterminate human life on the planet or bring it back to the stone age.

  • Between wealth, power, and philosophy driven angry nations at the brink of constant wars, large numbers of hair trigger scenarios to release planet wide thermonuclear weapons.
  • Poisoning nuclear bombs and blown up reactors spewing long half life radiation across planetary environments.
  • CRISPR tool engineered bio-weapon viruses where only the miniscule few killers with pre-engineered vaccines survive.
  • Possible threshold of no return over runaway global warming.
  • Singularity level AI with weapons control
  • Distant alien UIE masters with force visit, that does not approve of what we arrogant overpopulating Earth monkeys have done did to their zoo planet and gardens.

Thanks rbtvgo. You are correct. Yet ultimately there is no "danger" to the future of this world and it's people. The end of that story was written before time and it's a certainty. The danger is to the individual who has the ability to choose between arrogance and submission to God. Therein lies the true danger.

Maybe that's the parents' job, not the schools, since they don't teach Critical Thinking. Or Grandparents job.

If a book or idea is banned or not taught, then it's time to buy the banned book for the kid and discuss it together. Watch news, discuss it together. Don't wait for schools. Every environment is a learning environment.
