Finally ditched Land line.

I am considering ditching my land line, just as i recently
ditched cable for the tv....the att people just keep increasing
price up and up, tired of it..... :(
I know about ATT keeps raising their prices. It's ridiculous but my bill went down 3.00 from last month so I am reconsidering keeping it for awhile.

I didn't get a landline, when I moved here nearly 5 years
ago, I didn't get a choice, straight on to an internet phone,
I was a bit upset at the time, but they wouldn't move from
their decision, now I am very happy, because it is web based,
the price keeps falling/tumbling down, a month or so ago I
spoke with EE, the Internet Provider that I was forced to go
with, they are still BT, anyway, in order to give me a better
deal, they included the phone in with the broadband for free.

So I now have everything in the same place again for £25 PM
less that before, if the internet goes down, I still have the mobile
phone, unlimited calls on both the house phone and the mobile.

I still have a landline. First, cell phones sound crummy. And I keep my landline, because I can have a phone in every room, and no batteries. I've been on the floor and needed help- backup phones seem like a good idea.
Also, the call answering feature eliminates all those calls, which won't leave a message. My main phone is my landline.

I use a landline and a cell phone. I notice all my spam calls come to the landline and none to my cell phone. However, the landline has a phone block key in red. I can easily block all nuisance calls. My wife never mastered the use of a cell phone so I must keep the landline for her.
