Like so many others, we have been practicing "social distancing" the past 3+ months....just quick trips to the stores(with masks) and short visits with the kids(no hugs).
Things have been getting a bit boring.

So this morning, after noting that the casinos were back open, we decided to take our chances, and headed for Boonville(Isle of Capri). Once there, they took our temperature, and offered a face mask...we had our own. Every other slot machine was turned off, but there were still plenty. We played for about 6 hours....up and down on the winnings but I only lost about $85, and I think my wife won a little(she doesn't say). I was a bit pleased to see that the slots weren't any "tighter" than usual, after the casinos lost so much revenue. At one point, I was probably up $400, but gave it all back.

The buffet was closed, but there is a nice "short order" restaurant in the lobby, so we stopped there and pigged out on a couple of huge hamburgers and fries.

All told, it was a Very Welcome break from all the stress and bad news we've all been living with for the past few months. If there isn't a resurgance of this nasty virus, we will probably start making our monthly gambling trips again.

Now, that's something I've been wanting to do for a long time! Sounds like it was a real good time!

I am glad that you two were able to get out and have fun. I bet the hamburgers and fries tasted even better than usual !
