Finish This: I Don't Know How I Ever Did Without.......

As crazy as it sounds I would never want to be without my sewing machine.

The use of it provided a little extra income when times were tough.

It put clothes on my back, nice original designs by me.

It made my drapery, bedding and other household items.

It provides smiles on the face of children who get a doll or teddy bear gift....my way of giving back to those who need a hand up.

And it gives me a reason to visit the fabric store.

I was thinking of items when I made the post but it's wonderful to see that so many of you mentioned your children. I feel the same way about my son. I was a single mother for most of the time and I had to do whatever necessary to keep him fed, clothed and well. I used to quote that Peter Allen song..."You're an anchor, I'm a kite...you're what gets me through the night". He gave truly my life purpose, has been a great son and has grown into a man I'm very proud of. And my grandchildren are a joy as well. We, who can say these things are blessed.

I don't know how I ever did without the internet. Well, I do know how - library card and magazine subscriptions, a 4-5 inch thick dictionary, and a set of encyclopedias. This is better!
