Finland is getting closer to scrapping most or all of it's benefit programs and give every citizen a monthly check. They think it will incentivize more to work.

In some respects it's as fair as it gets but on the other hand third party money can create inflation and/or some people simply will actually need more. I think they'll find themselves still paying out somekind of specialized benefits to the more needy.
 

Well we'll soon find out after this is enacted if it ever is, if Finland is a consumer society which will cause inflation where it is spent and results in little additional benefit to society as a whole. OR, is it a charitable society that will then build a new society where those specialized benefits are covered by that charity.

If that monthly stipend is not reduced through work which it apparently will not if enough workers qualify now, then work could be produced. If it is reduced...it will not.
