Fire Alarm Boxes

When I was a five year old growing up in Newark New Jersey there were Fire Alarm Boxes on some street corners. I was too little to reach the box but managed to climb onto a big box that was directly under the alarm, reached up and pulled the alarm. Oh My---fire trucks came from every direction in response. My big sister who was supposed to be watching me panicked and dragged me home and hid me under my bed. Authorities walked around trying to find out who pulled the alarm they tell me.

In my defense----I didn't know what the box was for. No one ever told me.

I hope you're PROUD of yourself!

I am proud of myself and next to burning down a battery shop some years later, it was one of my major accomplishments as a youth
