First and Last Jobs

One summer in the mid 70's I work as stock clerk at a drug store. I was taught how to shift the items that were about to expire off the shelves replace with new ones. Some times when I go into Walgreens I always ck to see if the item is expiring, will tell an employee. I worked in local law firm thinking at the time I would follow in my dad's footsteps,I worked in the mailroom, pay was awful stayed 3 yrs My last job was at local hosptial as pharm tech for 27yrs,glad I took early retirement from there. It was stressful place at times dealing with unruly nurses&doctors who wanted their drug order NOW!. I tried to tell them I don't deliver what they were looking for it didn't click with them, idiots

My first job was as a gas station attendant and, at the same time, an illustrator for the San Juan Unified School District. I did the illustrations for the covers of 7 their 1970-71 class brochures.

Those were very temporary jobs while I was still in high school.

My first "real" job was ad illustrator and editorial cartoonist for a small newspaper. My last real job was co-owner and manager of a liquor/grocery/convenience store. My entire work history is quite varied.

My first job at 16 was teaching music lessons to kids. I had several students whose parents were poor, so I charged $1.00. Some, I charged nothing. My last job was a process server in a family business.

First job at 17, summer job before college, was in a sleazy loan company. We got robbed while I was in the restroom primping. My dad made me quit.

Last job....I gave four months notice. They just kept acting like it wasn't going to happen. The day after I quit, I was getting on a plane for Hawaii and they called asking if I could come back to work for a "while". Uh.....no.

I mowed lawns and detailed cars when I was a teenager to make spending money. My dad was a stock broker and he would encourage all his friends to bring their cars to me. I charged $50 per car to wash, polish and wax their cars until they looked new.

My first real job during college was selling men's suits and clothing at Sears. I was one of the few part-timers on salary + bonus so I worked lots of nights and weekends when I knew most customers would be coming in.

My last job was VP of Sales at a cruise line.
