Fishermen film themselves cutting tail off shark,'Good luck trying to swim'

I found his purely disgusting. What is wrong with these men? According to the rest of the article, someone saved the video and posted it to FB, showing the two men laughing while they mutilated the creature.

Two crew members of a fishing boat have been fired from their positions after reportedly sharing footage of themselves hacking the tail off of a shark and throwing the fish back into the ocean.


The operators of the Icelandic fishing vessel confirmed the men were no longer employed on the boat, and condemned their actions after video of the incident found its way online, according to the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service (RUV).

Commenters have since shared their disgust with the fishermen, with many calling for their arrest.


“They should be sentenced for this,” one user wrote in response to Johansen’s post.

“Let’s cut one of your feet to bleed out and watch. I am gonna laugh,” another one of the commenters suggested.

Those fisherman should be hauled into court in the same manner any person endangering or abusing an animal would be... this is appalling!!

I never thought that REAL fishermen would do such a thing. I betcha know how I vote.

Fish can usually swim without a tail, but a plane can’t fly without a tail. In most cases, unless the tail on a fish is cut off completely, it may grow back. Fish generally need their pectoral fins to swim.

Nonetheless, these clowns need to have an appendage cut off.
