Fitbit Fitness Bands Found Not To Be That Accurate

I can't believe people pay several hundred dollars for a cell phone either. :)

I would be interested in hearing more about your experiences with store BP monitors.

One day maybe we will all have our cell phones microchipped into our cells and they will also serve as BP monitors as well as tracking devices.

So glad I don't have any kids to leave to that world!

We've had one of these Omron "wrist band" BP monitors for 5+ years....about $60 at Walmart....and it agrees within a couple of percentage points of any measurements we've had taken at the doctors office. If a person had any BP issues, one of these units would be worth having around the house...IMO.

I have one of the most basic Fitbit models. It's called "Flex" and I use it to measure steps and that's it. I too can't imagine spending $$$$$ on high tech stuff. I don't want to monitor my blood pressure, worrying about it will only make it higher.

I'm with you on the worrying bit, fur. That's what happens with me.

I have a device I can clip on my waistband or carry in my pocket that measures the distance I walk or the number of steps I take. I bought it for under $2 at Walmart. Why would I pay $200? lol
