Fixed Forum Issue of Grayed Out Icons with my Firefox Browser

Yesterday I had trouble posting a video or photo, because all the icons above the post section were grayed out, couldn't click on them, but I could type a written message. Checked a few other forums and it was only this one.

I took out my new laptop which has Firefox as the default browser and visited the forum. Icons were there, no problem, so I knew it had something to do with my desktop only.

I went into the Firefox menu (3 lines at the top right of the page) and clicked on Options. Then I clicked on Privacy and Security, then Manage Data.

I typed in the URL address of Senior Forums, then clicked Remove All. This I understand removed all cookies and history saved in Firefox from this site only. There was an option to choose other sites from the drop down menu also.

When I returned to the forum, I had to sign in again with my user name and password, that was no problem and I expected to have to do that after clearing cookies. The icons were back and usable and I was again able to post videos and photos.

Just thought I'd mention this in case anyone has a similar problem in the future.

I thought the way to fix that is to click on the last "button" called the "Toggle BB Code" which turns on the rest of the options.

Is what you described something different from that?

I think that was grayed out with all the others in that line, so I couldn't click on it if I wanted to. I never really thought of that though, figured it had to do with my browser/computer.

I ask because that happened to me and also to someone else. And Matrix instructed to click on that last button item and it worked. However I wasn't using Firefox so I just wondered.

I don't remember about that Olivia, now I'm not sure if that particular icon could have been clicked on, or if it was like the others. I would have definitely checked it out if I knew, would have saved me a small hassle. :)
