I recently went to the flower show at the nearby community college. It didn't have just flowers, it had art, herbs, spices, food, and much more. Here are my picks. The basket is from Ghana, woven with Elephant grass. Its handle is leather. The flowers range from annuals to perennials. I don't know all the names. Now I have to figure out where to plant them. It is early yet, so I have to be careful about frost. Have any of you visited a Flower show? What have you found?

Is that an orange - yellow marigold? It’s really beautiful also. I’m not usually all that fond of orange flowers but if they lean more towards yellow, I like them. Marigold apparently keep bugs away
It's called a ranunculus. It grows 10-14 inches and is a perennial. I chose the golden colored one, although they had pinks and reds. I had never seen one before and wanted to try it.

We went to the Orchid Show at the Bronx Botanical Gardens a few years ago and it was absolutely stunning. The number, variety, and designs were incredible and it's all backed up by the year round tropical setting in the Haupt Conservatory. This year it closes on April 21st. If you're in or around the metro NY area it's breathtaking. Wish I could dig up some pictures.

Go to the show, hit the Bronx Zoo, and eat and shop Italian foods on Arthur Ave. Just don't go on Easter weekend. This video doesn't come close to exploring how massive and how many orchids are there.

Thanks for sharing the video and the information about the Botanical Gardens! Having lived in the DC area several years ago, we had a chance to visit the U.S. Botanical garden often, and this video brought back nice memories. I have taken so many pictures over the years and I can't seem to find them.
