Fold Up Bike

I've ordered a fold up electric hybrid bike from Amazon.

It's not fully electric, you still have to pedal but it assists you.

I thought I might use it to ride out to some of the village pubs in our area and, being fold up, I can take it in the bar.

Give us a review once you have had it awhile.

Not received this as promised, so I'm asking Amazon to chase it.

They tell me to wait another 3 days but it was supposed to have been despatched last Tuesday.

Carrier (DPD) say they have got the order details but not the package.

I'm beginning to think "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark".

I bought a folding bike decades ago...it was not electric. I never could ride a bike. The first time my father let go, I ran into a wall and scraped my knuckle pretty bad. I was through after that. As an adult, I decided to try again. I bought the bike and would take it behind the school in their playground to practice. I rode a little bit but not enough to ride on the street. I finally gave the bike to my husband for one of my step grandchildren to use.

You have to love those super computerized carriers, They can tell you to the exact inch on the planet, where you package is missing.

Depending on how many pubs & how many drinks drinking & riding might be a challenge:)

Got the bike out of the box but not yet ready to ride it.
It's a lot heavier than I anticipated though, would not want to carry it very far.
I've always wanted to get a fold -up bike, because I live in a hilly area it's no fun biking around here.. or even very safe, so my idea was to get a fold-up, and put it in the boot and drive to areas with large expanses of flatland.. but it was the sheer weight of the thing, that put me off unfortunately..

Still not been able to ride it as there is a problem with the front tyre.
The valve stem is fast disappearing back into the rim.

Not a major problem to sort out but a bit too hard for me nowadays.
Luckily my friends grandson is into bikes in a big way, so he's coming round to see what he can do.

Following my hip replacement, my surgeon recommended cycling as a therapeutic way of exercise and physio. This 1928 ladies bicycle proved perfect. There's no cross bar to lift my leg over, the chain guard protects my trousers and my shopping can go into the basket.

Strangely though, I did get some odd looks, must be unusual to see a fellow on a ladies bike.
