Footage of 6-Year-Old's Arrest: 'Please, Give Me 2nd Chance'

Well, the kid was a terror, kicking and punching the teacher. School staff is not allowed to discipline the children, so they call the cops, and this cop got fired for doing his job. Maybe he should not have arrested a 6 year old, but maybe he was afraid of being attacked. She, the kid, didn't mind hurting people, but when being arrested she was crying and asking for ''a second chance''. Obviously, she gets no discipline at home and thinks she can get away with anything.

The cop was fired to prevent the police force from catching flack. He handled the little brat admirably and should be reinstated immediately. Catlady hit the nail on the head which is what the little brats parents ought to consider. Check back with the little darling in 8 to 10 years when she is locked up for 8 to 10 years!!

I agree. I watched the videos and he handled her gently, he wasn't abusive at all. The reason he was fired is that he was supposed to get permission before arresting anyone younger than 8, and she is 6. The grandmother claims that she was acting up because she's not getting enough sleep because of sleep-apnea. So, that gives her the right to kick and punch people/kids and no one is supposed to punish her for it?

I agree strongly here , & with post #4

This is every teacher's nightmare, and probably every cop's, too. About all you can safely do is herd the other kids out of the room and let the kid's tantrum run its course. And even then, if the kid hurts herself, someone else is liable. I guarantee you, this is a kid who never hears the word "no" at home.

And the parents will probably use this as a springboard to sue the school and the police department. I believe she kicked 3 adults.

I was in a mall several years ago and a little boy about 3 wearing cowboy boots came up to me out of the blue and kicked me real hard in the shins. It hurt like hell. I didn't say anything as his dad , who looked like a gangbanger, was about 15 feet away looking in a store window and didn't see what happened. I fingered something was seriously wrong somewhere or it wouldn't have happened in the first place. If no one had been around and I thought I could get away with it I would have warmed that boy's butt up good!
