I have always been neutral as far as the Texans are concerned but I look forward seeing how they do this season. Stroud is very impressive and I like the way the team has built around him. They should be a fun team to watch this season and I would not be surprised if they go far in the playoffs. I probably won't watch tonight's game but I am looking forward to the start of the season.

The hall of fame game is fun to watch. Most of the older guys are probably still hurting from the game years earlier. It is fun to watch them be aggressive without creaming the cr*p out of everybody. A nice football game in the park kind of thing.

The Texans are very young, so a few vets have been brought in during the off-season, like Stefon Diggs from Buffalo.

JJ Watt offered to unretire and join the team again, but I don’t think he got an offer. He and Demeco Ryans played at the same time on the Texans.

Watt had an OK final season with the Cardinals but he was wearing down quickly.

I love football season! My grandson does replays of the games he watches. He calls it "kid football." So entertaining!

No! Not ready for football! It's summer! There is a much better sport still going on. The boys of summer are playing America's favorite pastime. Those cold weather sports such as football (real football, not that silly soccer), hockey and even college basketball, can just wait their turn to start. They can go back in moth balls.

The weather won ……. a local Houston meteorologist said, at around 5 in the afternoon yesterday, that the game would be called by the 4th quarter due to stormy weather. He was spot on.

Anyway, backups played a good game all around. Probably won’t see much of the starters until the 3rd game in preseason.
Seems like that is how it usually goes.

Big rule changes this year look like a welcome change …. hope it helps to cut down on injuries.

“Silly Soccer” is taken seriously by the younger generation. .. my 14 yr. old granddaughter has traveled around the country this summer to play in tournaments with her team.

And come 2026, the FIFA World Cup Soccer matches are coming to several cities around the US.

...real football, not that silly soccer...

Well, I don't take Football seriously either. Let's see those football players on the field run continuously for 90+ minutes with only a 15 minute halftime break like the soccer players do. Most of the football players can't seem to play continuously for 2 minutes of playing time....injury or no injury. Or is it disappointment that soccer doesn't look to injure their players like the football players do, play after play?

Even though you gave me an emphatic NO when I asked if anyone follows soccer here, I'm still following my 'superior' sport. Don't get me started about the fans that seem to think host cities, other than my own home city deserve to have sports (ie-NFL fans)......
