Morning playmates,
I hope we're all happy and feeling good,
Now we've had a very good and very honest feed back ref "how do you want to go"

So i thought it only right to complete this thread by having both a laugh and to give some thought to what you'd like on your grave stone,?????

This should bring a few good tonque in cheek replies so lets have them all,

Here are a few i know about,

I told you i was ill
Or
Here lies Lester moore shot in the back with a colt 44, "No more Lester moore"
Or
The wife did it.

Well whats your last goodbye's going to say?:D

I want a great big headstone..the biggest most beautiful marble gravestone in the churchyard where people can see it above everyone elses' when they enter ..I want it surrounded every day with beautiful flowers.. and balloons and windmills and flower teddy bears ...I want everyone to notice it as they come into the beautiful country churchyard..I want them all when they're visiting their loved ones to come and admire the beauty of my enormous Marble tombstone, and to read my last words of wisdom to all these passing strangers....

Who do you think you’re looking at? :magnify::laugh::rofl:

Normally, I don't share such private things, but I think this is so beautiful that I will deviate from my norm. My Uncle, who died unexpectedly several years ago had this poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye written on his headstone. He was buried. I am being cremated, but my remains will be placed in a niche and then in the mausoleum at our family's cemetery. So, I have decided to also have the same poem inscribed on a plate and placed on the wall containing my urn.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn rain

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quite birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die

Mary Elizabeth Frye

I'd like 'See, I told you I was sick'. Although over here sick means vomit, so it'll have to be 'See, I told you I was ill'.

Civil war letter from soldier to his wife: I get a tear in my eyes every time I hear this when dh plays his Civil War DVDs.
A portion of it about if he does not return home but dies in battle.....

If I do not my dear Sarah, never forget how much I love you, and when my last breath escapes me on the battle field, it will whisper your name. Forgive my many faults and the many pains I have caused you. How thoughtless and foolish I have often times been! How gladly would I wash out with my tears every little spot upon your happiness . . .

But, O Sarah! If the dead can come back to this earth and flit unseen around those they loved, I shall always be near you; in the gladdest days and in the darkest nights . . . always, always, and if there be a soft breeze upon your cheek, it shall be my breath, as the cool air fans your throbbing temple, it shall be my spirit passing by. Sarah do not mourn me dead; think I am gone and wait for thee, for we shall meet again . . .

An elderly man was found in Mold fintshire (uk) on the town toilet "dead"

In the local paper it was asking for some sort of goodbye for this old single man who lived rough,
Here is one of the offers to remember him by.

" Here i sit broken hearted, paid a penny and only farted"

The above was never used.

The beauty of cremation, no hardware to further litter the earth. i don't even want to be put in a urn. Cast me into the air but hold down the celebrations till my ashes have blown away. It's just the right thing to do.
