For some reason unknown to me I lost access to my Wi-Fi network

When I looked into it, Nothing appeared. Ethernet - not connected.
For someone not at all tech savvy this was a problem.
Thought I would have to take my laptop to the computer people tomorrow.
Kept searching, somehow found how to at least get access to my wi-fi but it asked for the security key.
WTF! How am I supposed to know that? I do remember writing it down somewhere. After half an hour searching, without luck,
I came to the conclusion, no more wi-fi until I get to the computer people.
Then I looked at the wi-fi dongle and a deeply buried memory surfaced.
The security key is somewhere on/in the dongle. I extricated the back and there are a heap of numbers.
After trying several, success. Security key accepted, back on-line.
This tech stuff is a problem for those of us who have difficulty coming to terms with the intricacies.

Well done you....^^^

I have the same thing when I lose the internet, I have a slight panic.. because the soon2BX was the techi one, so I never learned... but you can bet your bottom dollar I've been learning fast since he's been gone...
Thank you, Holly
It is a problem when things do not go right.
I actually gave up and started watching a video. Looking at the dongle, a memory surfaced.
No way should the wi-fi access have disappeared. No explanation really.

I had a WiFi problem once that freaked me out. I tried everything for hours, till it hit me. SSID code was right on the bottom of the router. Took 2 minutes to fix. I really laughed at myself afterwards.
