They're not your kids.
As I tuck them in in every night.
They're not your kids.
As I make my breakfast, I scramble them up some eggs and make sure they get the most important meal of the day.
They're not your kids.
As I do my laundry, I make sure they're blankets/jackets and bedding (they always sleep with us every night in OUR bed) are also clean.
They're not your kids.
As I nursed them back to their optimal health the first few months I've had them.
They're not your kids.
As I pick up all their toys and place them back in the toy box for them to go through as soon as they wake up from their nap.
They're not your kids.
As I take them out yet again to play in the yard even though I'm weary.
They're not your kids...Yeah, you're right, they're not my kids... they're my heart, My world, My babies.
And for those who can't see the similarities between a puppy and a child and for those who really think a dog is really "just a dog," you must never have found your heart dog and I pray one day, you do.
