are both in Florida together. This can't be a good sign!

If you're anywhere that's going to be affected by the hurricane, please please please pay attention. Batten down your hatches. Evacuate if you can. Above all, stay safe!

I was just mentioning to the fellow across the hall from me this morning, how we've had such a nice summer with no worries about hurricanes for a change. I'll learn to keep such thoughts to myself from here on out. Of course, we here in NJ may have no concerns anyhow.

Sitting here waiting for Idalia. Have lived in Florida 37 years, never had a direct hit from a hurricane. A tornado tore off part of our roof once. That ruins your whole day. In that house the street was 5 feet above sea level. I am on high ground now.

Whenever we have had a terrible snowstorm or blizzard , The Weather Channel sends Jim Cantore to do live broadcasts here in Buffalo around WNY. I love Jim he knows his stuff & how tricky the winds can be coming off Lake Erie. He's from Vermont knows how brutal winter can be sometimes. I'm glad he was here during our Xmas Blizzard last yr he's more talented than our supposedly' local weather experts'
