Found Something Else To Add To The Junk Drawer

Don't know what it is or where it came from. Piece of white plastic about an inch long with several small holes in it. Now has a new home along with all the other whachmacallits in the junk drawer.

What do you do when you don't know what to do with it, toss it, try to figure out where it belongs or keep it just in case?

What's in your junk drawer? If I ever decide to straighten it out I might find something of value that I forgot about.

Usually six months or so is the time frame I keep a piece from something I'm not sure of. I have noticed that rubber material items get hard, break off, crack, rubber bands get brittle after a few years, hard plastic cracks, paper yellows and gets nasty, glue sticks dry up, pens no longer write smoothly, and the list goes on.
I have two small junk drawers and I'm happy with that.:)

I have one of those too..
Exactly as you describe ..in my tool box drawer with other bits and pieces for months now.
It looks like it should attach to something as a drainer but I have yet to find 'what'
Please let me know if you find its home base.
I am in a serious mood now , at this age , about clearing out junk and whachmacallits:D

Somehow you get a left handed thingamabob, so you put in the junk box. And you know if you through it out, within seconds after the trash guy leaves, you'll need it. Of course, if you keep it in the junk drawer, you'll forget you had one. You'll find it when you're putting the brand new, expensive one in the junk drawer.

What is this thing? A drawer pull? I used to have it hanging in the window. I can't remember if it throws rainbows or not. Bought it in the very early 80's at the flea market, probably for 50 cents. It's about 5 x 4.5 inches. It has dust in the crevices, needs to be cleaned.

Is that a hole in the middle? If it is, it might be a candle holder. If not, maybe it's a small relish dish or candy dish.

Thanks for the reply. No, not a hole in the middle. It's solid except the two holes on the side on top. Plus the top part is thicker. If it were screwed into a piece of wood, there is a bit of space to get your fingers under it.
