Have any of you tried freeze dried food?

IMO, nothing beats fresh, but freeze dried food has a long storage life and it will keep you alive.

I wonder if I could get freeze dried wine?

You are talking to the freeze-dried, frozen goodies, canned goods, and homemade frozen entrees queen! :)

Sure, some things don't take to freezing well, but over the years I've found that pretty much everything still retains it's flavour.

I haven't tried dehydrated meat but TVP is not a bad substitute for ground beef in some sauces and casseroles.

Nice, thanks for the encouragement in this regard. Many suppliers to buy from. If interested PM me for my favorite. (Not a salesman or a rep, nor do I want to be, just an honest opinion of a good company.)
