Fresh eggs anyone?

My daughter keeps chickens. She’s not actually supposed to per her HOA, but the HOA chairman lives next door and is a frequent and willing recipient of fresh eggs, so it’s not a problem! 😂❤️

Her hens are prolific layers and Paige’s family doesn’t eat as many eggs as we do, so we benefit!

I love the array of colors and sizes!

You're very lucky. We have a couple of friends that treat us with fresh eggs every so often. It's hard to believe how much better they taste than the ones from the store.

Yes!! They are so good! There’s a richness and depth to the taste that is missing in store bought eggs, even the organic, grass fed varieties which we always buy.

Too, these eggs don’t require refrigeration, unless they’re washed, unlike store bought eggs. I haven’t yet researched why that is so.

Sister keeps chickens, they are more of pets. Of course, she does not mind the eggs. She also keeps a veggie garden and strawberry bed. She has her own little homestead in the city, in a traditional neighborhood.

She sounds just like my daughter! Veggie garden, strawberries, blackberries. She composts, too. Her own little ecosystem!
