I am watching the movie "The Help" and there is a scene where one woman makes fried chicken and when the other woman bites in to the bird the crunch sound went through me like a spear. I have not had fried chicken since the start of the virus shut down. Today for lunch I will be at the KFC's drive thru. Guaranteed.

A few weeks ago, in a weak moment, we decided to stop for KFC. It has been years since we had it. The oil was not drained properly, like it was put into the cartons directly from the fryer. I hope your KFC doesn't do this! We don't get the baking powder biscuits like you do in the U.S. - wish we did.

That's why I do Popeyes.

Original Recipe KFC leaves a slick wider than the Exxon Valdez.

I love fried chicken and even though my diet doesn't permit it..I would love to have a little KFC or better yet, I may fry some myself!

Ruthanne,

Do you have a TNT recipe for fried chicken that you could share?

I've always been a fan of room temperature fried chicken as a summer picnic food but I've never been able to make it to suit me.

These days I leave the chicken to the folks at Tyson but I still make the potato salad.

I was thinking of getting some whole wheat flour or some kind of flour other than regular white flour and then using hot pepper spice or cayenne pepper and then frying it in a pan with olive oil. I have to look up how long to cook it and I'll probably Google that.

@Aunt Bea I wasn't sure what a TNT recipe was. I was just saying that I'd wash the chicken pieces, coat them with an alternative flour and fry them. My mother used to do that and then dip them in egg and then coat them with bread crumbs and fry them lightly (to a golden color) and them bake them in the oven..don't recall for how long though. But they were extremely tasty cold, too! I don't have her recipe but am going to google it and see if there is a recipe like hers...but not right now as I am going to go rest for awhile soon.
