From AARP - Free Movie ---- Comedy, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles"... May 6th

It’s over now but I looked back at their ad and that and their other promotions were only “free” to members, had to register with your aarp number. I wonder if they thought people would join in order to get to see the movie.
Yes,fuzzybuddy, I don’t like what that org has become.
 
I was an AARP member for a few years, but I let the membership lapse about a decade ago. I had a hard time finding any benefits in that organization....other than a minor discount at a few restaurants, etc. I never did hear of any effective "lobbying" they did for Seniors, but I always got offers to send them more money....and still do.
 
Oooh! A free 35 year old movie to watch. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Yep. That movie was made in 1987. Which sounds to me like a couple of years ago, but when you do the math…. I think I’ll lie down now.
