Fuel Companies gouging customers in Australia

Prices in Perth at some stations are 60 cents higher than the independent stations.
Still baffles me why people want to pay an exorbitant price when a short drive may save them up to $30 a tank
I always shop at the lowest priced servo in my area.

We gas up, out of town when we take our country drives. It makes no sense that prices are higher in the big city.

That is something that always amazed me. There will be an el-cheapo gas station with gas at 30-40 cents/gallon less than the big name gas station next to it. And there are people filling their tanks with the expensive stuff.??????????
Gas is gas. Everybody gets their gas from the same major distributor. It's all coming out of the same faucet.
